Sevier County filmmaker wins awards for Smoky Mountains horror film

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A Pigeon Forge filmmaker directed the movie “The Hike” that has gained worldwide and native awards.

Vinnie Winery the director calls it a “campy horror movie” that dabbles into the folklore of the Smoky Mountains. He labored on a magical exercise present referred to as “Wrestling with Ghosts” the place he first heard of the legend of Spearfinger.
